Fees

Two fees are applied to support students throughout their academic journey. The First-Year Student Orientation Fee covers the costs of programs that help new students transition smoothly to campus life. Additionally, Regis requires health insurance for all students, which can be waived with proof of alternative coverage — however, international students are required to enroll in the Regis Health Insurance Plan and are not eligible for a waiver. This ensures all students have access to medical care during their time at the University.

"Why is Tuition Higher for Nursing Students?"

Nursing tuition rates are higher because they reflect the added costs of comprehensive hands-on training. This includes lab fees for specialized equipment, clinical placement fees for real-world experience in health care settings, and additional instructional resources needed to ensure students are well-prepared for the complexities of the nursing profession. These elements are essential for providing a quality education that equips students with the skills required in the field.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tuition and Fees

Every student who applies for financial aid is assigned a cost of attendance (COA). COA gives you an estimate of the cost of attending Regis University for one year, and your COA sets a limit on the amount of financial aid you can receive during the academic year (per federal regulations).

Your actual expenses may be different from those listed on your financial aid offer, and the total amount of your aid — including scholarships, grants, loans and work-study — can't exceed your total cost of attendance.

Direct costs are determined by Regis University.

For indirect costs, we use recommended guidelines published by the Colorado Department of Higher Education. Most figures change slightly every year.

To stay in compliance with federal regulations, we cannot change student COA based on discretionary expenses. We may be able to adjust your COA for reasons outlined on the Cost of Attendance Appeal Form. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and do not guarantee additional financial aid.

For traditional students, your COA does not include costs for the summer semester. Eligibility for financial aid for the summer is limited; if you need financial aid for the summer, you must complete a separate summer aid application in the spring.

For non-traditional students, we typically include all three semesters in your COA: summer, fall and spring, but we can always update your enrollment plans and, therefore, your COA when you submit the Enrollment and Loan Revision Form.
